26 March 2020 OR 30 March 2020 – Coding Courses for Preschoolers! (Preschool Educators)

[Venue: Duck Learning HQ | Thursday OR Monday | 3.30pm – 5.30pm]

Children appear to be masters of technology at an increasingly younger age and they intuitively explore and use a wide variety of technology in their everyday lives. Most coding initiatives have targeted older children, but there are good reasons to introduce coding to children as young as 4, to allow them to develop the brain models for greater abstract thinking. An early introduction also allows more children to develop excitement about coding and means that gender-based stereotypes of career within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) can be prevented. We’re putting on a series of workshops to allow yourself to EXPERIENCE the joy of coding with KUBO for your children! We’ll get you started, and give you plenty of experience on this course and what your children can gain out of it.

REGISTRATION CLOSED

25 March 2020 OR 27 March 2020 – Introduce Your Students to Creative Technologies with Arduino CTC GO! (Secondary School Educators)

[Venue: Duck Learning HQ | Wednesday OR Friday | 3.30pm – 5.30pm]

Looking for ideas or inspirations to get your secondary students inspired or engaged during your enrichment classes? As a modular cross-curricular program, Arduino CTC GO! provides you with an easy-to-use, practical approach to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) concepts through project-based learning that enables your students to learn, design and create. This can be used as a multi-sensory hands-on experience in assimilating and applying science concepts taught in the classrooms OR part of your Education and Career Guidance (ECG) Program in school.

REGISTRATION CLOSED

2 April 2020 OR 3 April 2020 – Introduce Screen-Free Coding to Your Primary Students! (Primary School Educators)

[Venue: Duck Learning HQ | Thursday OR Friday | 3.30pm – 5.30pm]

Considering the responsibility of formal education to prepare children not only for a career but also for a meaningful life, Coding and Computational thinking competencies have earned their place in Primary Education. Making mistakes are also good. Coding is one of the few areas where it is acceptable to make mistakes and this helps to create a learning environment that welcomes mistake as a natural part of learning. Thus, let us introduce you to KUBO, a screen-free and innovative solution. You will experience creative challenges and activities to understand how to deliver coding lessons effectively and make it fun for your students.
