This multi-sensor temperature measurement and control system is used to teach applications such as temperature process control, basic sensor measurements, and data acquisition and analysis. It is great for exploring heat transfer, conduction, convection and more.

myTemp uses an analog input channel to read three thermistor inputs, and another analog input can be switched among four additional thermistor inputs or anAUX input terminal. It includes an activity guide on DVD.

NI miniSystems are small-scale replicas of real-world systems that connect to NI hardware and software for a powerful learning experience for science and engineering.

Warm students up to the concepts of thermal conduction, insulation and other heated subjects with this Action Pack featuring the myTemp miniSystem. Following the lesson plans, students learn to measure and gather data for heat as it moves through various materials such as aluminium and wood.
This pack provides the myTemp miniSystem, NI LabVIEW™ Discover Heat Transfer software, detailed lesson plans, seven thermistors, electric heating plate and heat lamp, and o t h e r mate r i a l s needed t o complete the investigations. It comes with a PC-based installation DVD.

Note: A NI myDAQ is required, sold separately.

A single pack serves up to three students and a 10-pack up to 25 students.

Using the myQuake miniSystem, students can design,construct and test structures for earthquake resistance in a dynamic way. It uses a side-to-side platform with two accelerometer inputs to measure the acceleration for the x-, y-, or z-axis. Plus, students control the motion profile and measure the resulting forces.

myQuake is ideal for teaching about resonant frequencies, sensor measurement, and data acquisition and analysis. It includes an activity guide on DVD.

Earth science, physics and engineering all combine in the study of earthquakes to make a dynamic learning opportunity that is captured in this pack.

Students learn about seismic waves, plate tectonics and other key concepts; build simple structures to test on the myQuake; experiment with the Harmonic Highrise to see resonant frequency; and complete other activities.

The two-student pack provides materials and equipment for two students working as a team; the 10-student pack provides materials and equipment for 10 students working in teams of two. A teacher’s guide and DVD are included in this pack.
