A perfect introduction to robotics for children attempting robotics for the very first time. Your child gets to build exciting models using the latest LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 sets. Programming is made easy with an icon-based programming environment that gives life to your child’s LEGO models.

This is a progressive course that aims to equip students with basic programming knowledge and creative design thinking through playful learning. Participants will be introduced to simple elementary projects and advance to challenges requiring them to find out-of-the-box solutions

*Participants will receive a Mini Milo Rover at the end of the course.

In this workshop your child will be able to:

  • Connect to a scientific question or engineering problem, establish a line of inquiry and consider possible solutions
  • Build, program and modify a LEGO Education model with movements
  • Design a solution using the model they’ve built
  • Master the skills of using motors, motion sensors and tilt sensors
  • Learn the basics of programming
  • Learn science and engineering through guided projects

Age: 6 to 10 years old

Prerequisite: Junior Robotics Beginner Course or similar WeDo 2.0 experience

More sensors, more innovative builds! Progressing from the Junior Robotics Course, this new course would challenge your child to think out-of-the-box as participants will be exposed to more advanced projects which challenges them to conceptualise and create solutions without step-by-step building instructions. Participants will be finding ways to apply science and engineering concepts through these problems and learn to document the design process. With the introduction of the sensors, participants would learn to better automate their amazing creations through more detailed programming. Join us and prepare your child to be a future-ready engineer!
*Participants will be awarded a certificate upon completion of the course.
*Participants will also receive limited edition ‘Max and Mia’ minifigures upon completion of this course.

 

JUNIOR wedo2.0ROBOTICS | ADVANCED COURSE 

Age: 6 to 10 years old 
Duration: 2 hour
No. of sessions: 8

Day & Time – Weekends
Fees per 4 sessions – $220 (Non-member) / $198 (Member)
Prerequisite: Junior Robotics Intermediate Course

 

The advanced course aims to challenge kids to think out of the box. They will be exposed to advanced projects which requires them to conceptualise and create solutions. Participants will find ways to apply STEM concepts to these problems and learn to document the design process. With the introduction of sensors, they will learn to better automate their creations through more detailed programming.

 

JUNIOR ROBOTICS | FIRST LEGO LEAGUE JR COMPETITIONFLLJR_400by322

Prerequisite: Junior Robotics Introduction Course or similar WeDo 2.0 experience

Here’s his or her chance! This FIRST LEGO League Jr 8-week programme is specially created for him or her!
FIRST LEGO League Jr. teams get to:

– Explore challenges facing today’s scientists
– Discover real-world math and science
– Design and build a challenge-related model with a moving part using LEGO® elements
– Create a Show Me Poster and practice presentation skills
– Develop teamwork skills
– Choose to participate in Expos and showcases
– Engage in team activities guided by the FIRST LEGO League Jr. Core Values.

All required materials such as laptops and LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 core set and building materials will be provided on a loan basis.
